The Handel Gazette: Maybe It’s You News.

Its goal is to not only make you happy, proud and inspired, but create an even tighter community than we already have. To keep everyone up-to-date in one monthly-ish email on the latest and greatest from each department, as well as moves, shakes, birthdays, and more.Obviously, 2020 has been a ride for all of us. I’m beyond proud of who we’ve all been in the face of the world’s shit show and our own big lessons learned. The good news about us is as quickly as we move, we also quickly learn and grow. EXECUTIVE

New Executive! Marissa Fernandez is joining the team as Chief Marketing Officer. She starts Monday, November 30 and will commence training and handover with Jill Alban and Chrisa Zindros.Here’s the back story...Marissa came to us through magical means. Our favorite kind. Interested in coaching, she found Shir on LinkedIn. She reached out to him. And, yes, to her surprise (not ours), he responded. She immediately immersed herself in all things Handel. She signed up for Inner.U, researched our CIT program, came to community calls, and jumped into a Masterclass or two (!), where she worked on her career dream that just so happens to sound exactly like this very gig. As magic also often goes, she also worked at the NFL with someone Beth coached and loved. 2021 Planning! Division leaders are working with Chrisa on aligning on new strategic objectives for next year. Stay tuned for more on these from your department heads soon.2021 Taglines are here! Ty, Chrisa, Will, Harrison, and now, Bettina are adding to our blog contributors! Who's next?! Coming? Truly. Get to Marnie if you think you might want to share one of your big ah-has. We’re happy to help.We hired an awesome stylist/media coach William Graper to youth-anize us (smile) and assist us in creating our coaches’ brands as the voices of a movement (yours). Laurie first. CORP & DIVERSITY

Ty and Chrisa are in the midst of leading the 3-part AWKWARD Workshop with Handel Group. 50 HG staff are participating and we saw 96% participation in the survey!We are currently editing new additional Modules for Inner.U CAREER: 

• Taglines with Beth, demo from Nolan Carroll.

• Mastering Time with Laurie, demo from Jill Alban.

• Accountability and Personal Integrity Model, video, with Shir.

EDUCATION

Gaby and Jenny led a series of workshops with Yale Graduate and Postdoctoral Career Services. Over 100 participants joined with deep engagement and learnings. We will follow up with an Inner.U cohort and classes starting in January.Kicked off a 3-year partnership with Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University with 100 Inner.U Student usersCasey (supported by Beth H. and Jaqueline Denny!) finished up the second National Educator Training Monday - 21 educators designing and authoring through pandemic teaching. 

LIFE

Hildie Dunn recently wrapped up our first Specialized Inner.University Course - Body 101. More Specialized Courses to come in 2021!Diversity in leaders and class times for Inner.U LIFE and LOVE Masterclasses to both provide accessibility to our International community and to broaden leadership within our coaching team.

MARKETING

New Partners! Michelle Williams (yes ... of Destiny's Child!), Nolan Carroll, Daybreaker, and Alysia Reiner are some of our latest and greatest.The VaynerX partnership continues to drive great awareness for us. Follow HG and VaynerX on LinkedIn for the ‘Find your Inner.U’ series, featuring Vayner staff who are in coaching w/ HG!Laurie has grown her Instagram to nearly 3K followers (shout-out to Carly for her leadership and support!)

OPERATIONS & HR

We will be presenting key findings from Employee Engagement surveys & interviews to the full company at the next All HG Call in January. Following the call, we will launch a task force to move top priorities forward in 2021.

HG UNIVERSITY

Casey Seidenberg, Beth Halper, Amber Houmes, Stephanie Smith, and Michelle Cortright are all now in the process of writing their parent letters in prep for CIT graduation. Watch out HG!There is a newly formed CIT self-propelled study group, initiated by Shay Edmonds, to have CITs support and learn from each other as they work through the program.HGU has exceeded its January 2021 target of recruiting and offering admission to coach-training candidates who diversify Handel Group. We look forward to introducing the new class!

Humans shifting around HG! 

Sally Maxwell will return from Family Leave on December 3, stepping back into her role as VP and executive-in-training of HG Life and Senior Coach. She will resume accountability for sales in HG Life reporting to Will Craig.Jill Alban is transitioning to a part-time position as a Staff Coach and stepping back from her CMO position in HG’s Executive. Changes to Jill’s role will take effect in January 2021.Hildie Dunn, VP for HGU and Expert Coach, is taking on the responsibility for the HGU application process and will be working closely with Shay Edmonds, Talent Acquisition Manager, to create the next HGU classes for July 2021 and beyond. Janeen Serino, CIT, is leading weekend consultations for the sales team, soon to be joined by Amber Houmes and Shay Edmonds, also CITs.Ned Gaudette, CIT, is working part-time with the Marketing team on a range of projects including The Handel Gazette!Pam Colvin is taking a break from her CIT work but remaining a part-time member of the Marketing Events team coordinating our Inner.U free Masterclasses.In September, Alyssa Rocco shifted to an independent relationship with Handel Group.Tristan Grimes has left his position in Corp Ops. We are currently hiring for a new Operations Manager. In the meantime, Aileen, Amy, Vanessa & Janeen are temporarily tag-teaming Corporate Operations.
